While the game is no doubt going to be excellent, its reveal was devoid of any concrete information, telegraphing that Indy's next adventure is a long way off. Get Game Pass Ultimate InsteadĪs such, while side games such as Youngblood and the virtual reality title Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot diverted the studio's attention, there has to be more to the narrative. And, considering that game's divergent philosophies compared to its predecessors, Arkane clearly took charge there. Additionally, while 2019's Wolfenstein: Youngblood certainly took some of MachineGames' resources, it was a joint development project with Arkane Studios. The title has been talked about as early as E3 2017, just months before the exemplary Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus hit shelves. However, there is reason to at least suspect that Wolfenstein III is far into development. Of course, this discussion is rooted in speculation. Not only is there a chance that the game is almost done, but it could also potentially be a Fall 2021 heavy-hitter for Xbox. With any luck, MachineGames' hotly anticipated Wolfenstein III is that experience. This creates an interesting opportunity for another Bethesda title to slide in under the radar to impress the audience. The Xbox and Bethesda deal has yet to really bear fruit, and most of the discourse surrounding it relates to Starfield. ![]()
